Schedule & Curriculum

Our curriculum at SV STEM Camp is designed to offer a comprehensive learning and startup experience for our campers. Our focus is on providing a hands-on, interactive approach, with a strong emphasis on creativity, teamwork, and leadership. Our campers will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of STEM topic areas, including robotics, coding, and AI, all while learning from experienced coaches and educators. Camper Groups

  • students will be divided into 6th & 7th and 8th & 9th grade camper groups

  • each camper will take 3 out of 4 curriculum areas

    • 6th & 7th - D&E, VR & Web Dev, Arduino Robotics​

    • 8th & 9th - D&E, VR & Web Dev, Game Development

Prerequisites

Our camp courses do NOT require any coding knowledge or have technical prerequisites. 

"Design Thinking & Entrepreneurship: Students go from startup idea to product applying design thinking, using tools like Figma, and learn core entrepreneurship skills used in real Silicon Valley startups.


VR + Web Development: Students learn the basics of web development (Javascript) and explore VR applications via project-based learning.


Arduino Robotics: Students learn robotics fundamentals (Arduino) and create their own self-driving cars. Students take home robots at the end of camp.

None of our curriculum require prior coding knowledge. Campers of any technical skill level are welcome to apply.

Design Thinking & Entrepreneurship

Students learn and practice design thinking and design tools daily, then work in small groups that will be their mini startup team. We introduce various tools used in the industry for UI/UX design (such as Figma), project management and strategy, and more. Students learn business basics, core entrepreneurship skills, and think big to solve global problems, going from startup idea to concept.

Focus on AI

At SV STEM we believe in the importance of preparing students for the future by integrating AI technology into their STEM education. That's why we have made it a priority to incorporate elements of AI into all of our core curriculum subjects. By doing so, we aim to equip our students with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in world where AI is becoming increasingly prevalent. Our commitment to integrating AI into education reflects our dedication to providing our students with a well-rounded and future-focused education.

Supplementary Topics

In addition to our core curriculum, students will be exposed to other topics related to STEM and AI in our whole group sessions. Students will discuss the latest and hottest Silicon Valley and tech innovations and participate in hands-on activities.

Our science program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the scientific method, as well as the knowledge and skills they need to excel in science-related fields. Our experienced instructors will guide students through engaging experiments and activities that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills. By the end of the program, students will have a strong foundation in science and a passion for discovery.

Our technology program is designed to provide students with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in the digital age. From coding and programming to app development and web design, our program covers a wide range of topics to help students become tech-savvy and prepared for the future. Our instructors are industry experts who will provide students with hands-on experience and real-world examples of how technology is impacting our world.

Engineering

Our engineering program is designed to provide students with an understanding of the engineering design process and the skills they need to create innovative solutions to real-world problems. Through engaging activities and challenges, students will learn about different engineering disciplines and develop their problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Our program will inspire students to think creatively and pursue careers in engineering.

Math

Our XXX program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in math and the skills they need to excel in math-related fields. Our experienced instructors will guide students through engaging activities and challenges that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills. By the end of the program, students will have a solid understanding of math and the confidence to tackle any math-related challenge.
